Winner of the “Acknowledgement Price of the German Dance Price 2015”.

Born in Goiania, Brazil, he started his dance career in Brasilia in the age of 21 in 1981. 1983 he moved to Rio de Janeiro and work for the new Ballet of the Manchete TV. 1984, he got a contract for the Ballet in the Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro. 1986 he represented Brazil in the Jackson Ballet Competition in USA and in the same year advanced to Soloist Dancer.1987, he moved to Europe and danced in Austria, Holland, Japan, Switzerland, Italy and Germany.

As a Guest Choreographer he worked in: Austria, Holland, Switzerland, Japan, Brazil, Italy and Turkey. In Germany he worked as a Guest Choreographer in: Kassel, Flensburg, Hagen, Chemnitz, Cottbus, Dessau and Hof. In 1993 he started his Career as Ballet Director and Chief Choreographer in the Theater Bremerhaven, Germany, staying till the year 2000, directing parallel from 1998 till 2000 the Ballet Company of the Theater Chemnitz where he stayed till 2001. From 2001 till 2002 He was in the same positions in the Theater Pforzheim moving in 2002 to Regensburg staying till 2003. Since 2004, is Ricardo Fernando in both positions in the Theater Hagen.  With the Ballet Hagen, Ricardo Fernando has got many nominations as Best Choreographer and the Ballet Hagen as best Dance Company  in the past 12 years from the Critic Voting

In the past 22 Years he has created over 90 different Choreographies between Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance pieces, among them: Romeo and Julia, Giselle, the Nutcracker, Bolero, Carmina Burana, Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, Petrushka. The Fire Bird He has choreographed must of the important Musical as Grease, Hair, West Side Story, Cabaret and Chicago among others:

As a Scene Director he has staged the Operas „Bouleverd Solitude“ from Hans Werner Henze and „Der Schimmelreiter „ von Winfried Hiller, as the Musical „The Rocky Horror Show“ and „Evita“.
